NOCO President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Casciano has been named a recipient of Buffalo Business First’s 2025 C-Level Executive Award, which recognizes Western New York’s top business leaders for their vision, innovation, and leadership excellence.
Casciano, who became president in 2024, is the first non-Newman family member to hold the position in the company’s 92-year history. Under his leadership, NOCO has continued to evolve with the changing energy landscape, launching new divisions, expanding service offerings, and completing key acquisitions that have driven growth and diversification across the organization. Today, NOCO provides 19 unique offerings spanning energy supply, HVAC, environmental services, and sustainability solutions.
Before joining NOCO as COO in 2022, Casciano worked with the company in a consulting capacity through his firm, Casciano Consulting Group LLC, where he oversaw strategic initiatives including the sale of NOCO’s gas convenience stores and terminal operations to Marathon Petroleum Corporation. His leadership approach emphasizes communication, culture, and empowerment—values that have helped strengthen NOCO’s team of more than 430 employees.
Casciano holds a B.A. in medical anthropology from the University at Buffalo and an MBA in HR and marketing from St. Bonaventure University. He also serves on the school board at St. Francis High School in Athol Springs and as chairman of the Parish Council at St. John Vianney in Orchard Park.
